Ayotte Statement on Expiration of Export-Import Bank Charter

Statement

Date: June 30, 2015
Location: Washington, DC

U.S. Senator Kelly Ayotte today vowed to continue her efforts to renew the Export-Import Bank, which provides an important source of financing for New Hampshire exporters.

"I helped introduce bipartisan legislation to renew the Export-Import Bank, and I've been working with members of both parties to ensure that New Hampshire's small and medium size businesses continue to have access to this important source of financing, which allows them to sell their goods and services overseas. I've met with businesses across the state, including GE Aviation in Hooksett and New Hampshire Ball Bearings in Laconia, who have told me that renewing the bank is critical for New Hampshire jobs and our economy. I will continue to make the case for the bank to my colleagues and I am committed to ensuring that the bank's charter is renewed."
